| The 2007 Pearl Awards were held on Thursday, 1st November
at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre, London.
Here
are some comments from guests who attended the event:
"Many, many congratulations on last Friday night. I
thought that the performances were startlingly good and to
be able to play the piano like that at the age of 10 defies
belief. The presence of Prince Charles greatly enhanced the
status of the event and the party afterwards was excellent."
"I would like to thank you for a wonderful evening at the
Pearl Awards…I've worked on a number of awards programmes
as a presenter and TV producer and know how difficult it
is to co-ordinate these things and I think you did an admirable
job of balancing a superb musical programme, interesting
and well-timed speeches, gravitas for the awards themselves
and a great reception afterwards."
"What a fabulous night, very successful indeed, congratulations!
The hard work and the tears behind have paid off…I
admire what you have gone through and the achievements."
"Thank you again for inviting us to attend this year's Pearl
Award. We spent a wonderful evening. Congratulations
on all you've done, and it was very successful."
"A quick email to say thank you so much for inviting us
to the Pearl Awards last night, the performances were superb,
and David Tang's quip about getting the pope next year very
apt its going to be a hard one to beat! Congratulations… "
"Fabulous event last night…send us thru pics & a
write up and we'll publish in our next edition. There
were many fabulous people there last night, but the star
of the show, for me, was Dominic Li's son, who accepted his
Father's award so magnificently. It was wonderful to see
a young man with so much confidence, and to hear
him speak so comfortably and clearly in front of such a distinguished
audience. …"
"It was a truly wonderful evening last night, I have never
seen so many beautiful Chinese people together before …I
am so proud of being a Chinese now."
"Thank you once again for the invitation to last night's
event. My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed the performances
and the "elements" and importance of the event."
