As to the taxi and private hire trade (aka. minicabs) in the UK and Greater London in particular we try to put some operator names here so hopefully after some time, we will be able to build a database of trusted, reliable list of companies backed up by the real people reviews.
For those searching for a transportation car service provider (eg. minicab) linking the two major airports in the UK we suggest to check on the prices offered by a company who provides taxi transfers from Heathrow To Gatwick Airport, as the Black Cabs (aka. London Taxis) prices between these two airports are crazy.
We had some enquires regarding taxi providers in London boroughs, particulary those who can supply with a driver who speaks …(here you paste the language of your choice)… We were told by our Polish team member that if you need a Polish driver you can use Polskie Taxi Londyn- London and they will get you a polish speaking driver. However they only do airport runs and airport transfers, so no local jobs can go through them at the point of writing this article.

Great post! I think that chauffeur driven car hire is very overlooked when it comes to airport transfers. Not only does it save you sitting on a coach for hours, or waiting in a taxi queue with your luggage, but it is affordable and adds a well earned touch of pampering to your break.
